While on vacation in Colorado to see my family one of my most favorite people in the world, Dawn Anne Gill, asked me if I would be willing to make her an anniversary cake. Her and her husband would be going to Vail for a romantic getaway and she wanted to surprise him with a delicious dessert. Her husband is a chocolate lover so I decided to overwhelm them with it. Their cake consisted of chocolate genoise, whipped chocolate ganache, chocolate buttercream and covered with dark chocolate shavings. Chocolate, Chocolate and more chocolate!
I haven't heard from her yet to find out if she and her husband liked it but, Dawn Anne, I hope you and Brian had a wonderful and romantic anniversary! :)
it was a wonderful getaway and the cake was the perfect surprise! He loved it!--cant go wrong with chocolate. It was a chocolate-lover's dream--thanks again ashley!
